Our purpose

Your Role

At Nuwa, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in shaping the future versions of our products, where precision, attention to detail, and deep understanding of mechanical design principles are paramount. Currently our team works tightly with electronics engineering and prototypes new solutions with short iteration loops, but high attention to detail. You're job is to strengthen our design team, turning concepts into sound designs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Designing mechanical solutions for complex problems.

  • Generate 2D and 3D files, and manufacturing documentation.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, (like industrial design and hardware) to ensure design feasibility.

  • Embrace a hands-on approach in prototyping and testing.

  • Conduct and evaluate methodical mechanical experiments.

  • Collaborate closely with the team, contributing to a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Design Engineering required, Master's Degree is a plus 

  • Proven experience in mechanical design, with a portfolio demonstrating attention to detail and creativity.

  • A deep understanding of manufacturing technologies, like injection moulding and CNC milling. 

  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, Simulations is a plus.

  • Familiarity with prototyping and testing technologies.

  • Experience with consumer electronics or close collaboration with industrial design is a big plus.
